How long does it take to get approved for HomeWAV? ›

In most cases, your account will be reviewed within a 24-hour time period, and the review process typically doesn't take more than two days. When you open the HomeWAV app or log in, your loved one will receive a notification that you are available, and they may initiate a video call.

HomeWAV's secure, monitored text, image/GIF, video, and voice messaging features are unmatched by any other provider. With our easy and convenient messaging suite, visitors have control of how and when they communicate, bridging the gap with their incarcerated loved ones.

Inmate's Use of Telephones:

HomeWAV Voice cannot call pagers, internet phones, etc. Money can be added to the inmate's phone account through www.homewav.com utilizing the "Deposit Funds NOW!" button at the top of the HomeWAV webpage or by coming on-site and using the HomeWAV kiosk in the lobby.

Create a ConnectNetwork account, or sign in if you already have one. Click on “Messaging” and select an existing inmate, or add a new inmate as a Contact. Purchase Message Credits to send a message, photo and/or video to a loved one.

Apparently, you have to turn off all Scam blocking on your line or the filter will block any calls made from a prison or jail.

Accept the call as you would with any other incoming call. Be aware that accepting collect calls from jail may involve additional charges that will be billed to your cell phone account. Billing and payment: The charges for the collect call will typically appear on your cell phone bill.

The facility has complete discretion on the use of the texting devices. You will not be able to text other inmates, victims and witness or any other person blocked by the facility. If the facility determines that your behavior is a problem they can terminate the use at any time.

Incarcerated people with tablets are eligible for 15 minutes of free video calls from their tablet every two weeks. Audio calls made from standard institution wall phones and tablets are always free of charge.
